Hand-built stoneware vessel with fitted lid. The body is cracked, each line drawn by hand into the leather-hard clay before firing. The glaze pools and thins unevenly, looks more found than applied. The lid is a different world: worked stroke by stroke with a wooden tool, pressed into soft clay without losing the round. It feels like velvet. One piece that breaks open, one that holds still.
