Mara-II

Mara-II carries textures that are both shaped and transformed. Parts of the surface are deliberately worked into the clay, remaining raw and tactile, while other areas are altered through partial glazing. The glaze does not smooth the form but creates its own relief, pooling and breaking in response to heat. Dark clay and glazed passages meet in a surface that feels scorched, layered, and unstable. The object holds the trace of making as much as the trace of fire, inviting touch as a way of reading its skin.
